PRISM: Information, Perspective and Influence

General Information
PRISM is an unknown programme created by the National Security Agency(NSA) to access data that is in many companies. The list of companies includes Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo and Skype. The information that can be obtained includes email and/or live chats. It is not yet known if this is illegal or not, but, investigations are being done to find out.

Pros and Cons
With every brilliant idea comes the good and bad. With the topic of PRISM, there are many different perspectives. The pros that come with the idea include safety but the list of cons stretches far. The cons include invasion of privacy and also the fact that one mistake or bad choice while using technology could be recorded and held against you in the future. This could affect you in many different ways including jobs.

Personal Opinion
I believe that the PRISM software is a very inadequate way for the government to attempt to scout terrorists. I think that we should not have our privacy taken just because the government "thinks" we are all criminals. We don't deserve this, we did not do anything wrong.

Reactions and Responses
42% of people in america that voted, that government should be able to access more of what you do online. 52% of americans voted that they should not be able to go through what you do on the internet. This proves that are both positive and negative responses. 41% of americans say that the government should be able to see our phone records 56% say no they shouldn't able to see our phone records.
